Goicoechea was established in 1960 from the hand of Jean-Baptiste Goicoechea. Taken over in 1982 by his son, Michel and his wife, Teresa, the company structured itself, developed and refined its know-how.
Since 2005, the third generation, represented by Inaki and Maitena their children, has been perpetuating the family business and bringing their own complementary skills. 60 years after the creation of the company, the traditional know-how, passion and quality remain behind the family’s prestige.
Goicoechea’s workshops are situated in the village of Ossès, nestled between the dramatic Pyrenees mountains and the green valleys of the Basque Country, in South West of France.

Living Heritage Company
The label «Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant» (Living Heritage Company) bestowed by the French Ministry of Economy, Industry and Finances in 2008, is the proof of a perfect balance between traditional craftsmanship and constant innovation.
After several years of perseverance and research, the company have mastered the ancestral and rare craft rope technique. This physical handmade technique allows the company to obtain bespoke pieces according to the customer’s taste, with different sizes, curves, textures or colours of clay or enamels available.
The manufacturing process requires about 4 to 6 weeks. This length of time for production is due to a combination of one-off manufacturing and the natural air-drying time of about 3 weeks required by the clay before firing..
